In the poem ‘Jhoola’, the poet expresses the tender feelings of a child. In this poem, a child is demanding a swing from his mother. The child asks his mother to get him a swing so that he can sit on the swing and touch the sky from above. The poet says that the branches of trees and plants are swinging like a swing. The child thinks how fun it is to swing on this swing. Sitting on the swing and swinging, he takes a trip to Delhi and sometimes to Calcutta. This story is based on ripe mangoes. A girl saw a ripe mango hanging on a mango tree. Her mouth was filled with water. A crow sitting on the tree in front was also looking at this mango with glee. The girl called her brother and asked to break the ripe mango from the tree with ‘gulel’. The girl’s brother targeted mangoes with a slingshot. The mango started falling from the tree branch. Just then, the crow sitting on the tree in front got up quickly and caught the falling mango in his beak. But as soon as the crow pressed the ripe mango into its beak, it hit a hive of bees. The beak missed the mango and fell into a nest on the tree. The crow laid eggs in the nest. A squirrel sitting on the tree picked up the mango that fell in the nest. Then the nest eggs burst and the crow’s children came out of them and started making noise. Due to this noise, the mangoes left the squirrel’s mouth and fell under the turban of the sleeping man sitting under the tree. The girl and the boy became happy.
